It's Official, We Applied!

We officially took the first step and sent in our application to the Colombia program at Lifeline Children's Services! We got the chance to connect with our case worker and discuss financing our adoption and what our next steps are. It definitely feels a lot more real and a little daunting looking at everything that needs to be done, but we are trusting in the Lord and are so excited to have the opportunity to adopt!

The First Agency Fee

Since applying we now have two weeks to complete the initial paperwork and pay the first agency fee. However, since applying we have received a scholarship from Lifeline for $1,000! So the first fee of $4,675 is now down to $3,675! This will be due along with a Monitoring & Oversight Fee of $850. We are now asking if you feel led to give, any amount helps. We have created a gofundme where you can give and see our funding progress.

What's Next?

Right now we are working through and signing around 50 pages of documents. Lifeline also requires couples to complete a parenting style survey to help get to know us and know how to better give us the resources we need. As we are approaching the deadline for the first agency fee, we are also holding a bake sale at The Health Factory in Knoxville TN December 19-21 where all proceeds go toward our adoption!
