First Home Study Interview!

We finished our first home study interview now we only have two more to go!

On April 19th our home study social worker visited our house to conduct the first of three interviews. The main goal of this visit was to get to know us more as a couple. We answered lots of questions about our expectations for our adoption process and life post-placement. She also took some time to do a quick walk-through of our home just to check that it is kid-friendly and there is enough space to add to our family.

Everything went really well and we already have our second interview scheduled for May 13th!

What we are still working on before completing the home study:

1. We still have a couple of hours of training videos to go through.

2. We have started reading The Connected Child and have some questions to answer once we are done with that.

3. We each need to get medicals to ensure we are healthy enough to care for a little one.
